I’m an executive coach, agile coach, facilitator, and trainer who helps organisations develop the mindset, learning capacity, and skills to outperform their competitors. My clients find our work together transformative, and come from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.

Many of my clients are organisations who want to transform their culture, leaders, and teams to get products and services to market more quickly, with more focus on the right products for their market. I also work with individuals in career transition and have coached professionals in transition through Careers Springboard in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire.

Contact me directly if you want to know more about working with me in one-to-one coaching.

Prior to becoming a coach, I delivered enterprise software projects for over twenty years as a project and programme manager, before that a principal technology consultant, and before that a software developer. I have tremendous empathy for people doing the challenging and high-stress work in development organisations, having done many of those roles myself.

I design workshops and full learning programmes as part of organisational change programmes. The most successful learning programmes are implemented with an engaged sponsor and a clear understanding of why they need to change. I have proven effective at facilitating discussions with a cross-section of stakeholders to understand your expected business outcomes clearly. I will recommend tools for measuring the impact of our work together.

As a leadership coach, I have successfully coached leaders to:

  • Develop strategic thinking
  • Improve communication with colleagues and business partners
  • Energise their leadership team
  • Develop an agile mindset to manage projects more effectively
  • Navigate a path through a career transition

Professional qualifications

My continuing professional development takes in the latest thinking in leadership, effective teams, product innovation, and business agility. I believe all of these domains are important to be effective in my coaching practice.

I have resisted the temptation to display a page full of the various badges and certificates I’ve worked hard to earn. Here are the relevant ones to my coaching practice:

  • Accredited by APECS, Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision, Professional Member.
  • MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change, Henley Business School, 2018. Dissertation: ‘Succeeding with Agile: What Makes Agile Transformations Successful?’
  • International Systemic Team Coaching Certificate, AoEC, Academy of Executive Coaching, 2019.
  • Member, ICF, International Coach Federation.
  • Future Focus is an ICAgile Member Organisation and I am an approved instructor for Agile Fundamentals and Agile Coaching. I co-developed the latter with the coaching faculty at QA, the national leader in skills training, and deliver the course for QA regularly. Details about my company’s Agile Fundamentals course can be found here.

I also have certifications from Scrum.org, IDEO, APMG, and Axelos. Details of those can be found on my LinkedIn profile or on request.

    Pro bono work

I actively support by doing voluntary work at the BBOWT Wildlife Trust in Tring, Buckinghamshire; and for Apps for Good, an innovative schools programme that teaches kids business, career, and technical skills. I am currently looking for a trustee or NED role – please do get in touch if you have a vacancy.

I love getting outdoors for hillwalking, kayaking, skiing, running – anything that involves mountains or mud!
